Crown Concrete’s roots go way back — to 1986, when Lothar was just a sixth grader working weekends and summers for his dad’s company, Finer Finish. Starting with pushing a wheelbarrow and loading shovels, he quickly learned the importance of balance and precision. One lesson his dad drilled into him was, “If you fill up the front, the back will fall off.” That wasn’t just about concrete; it was about doing things right.

In 1994, Lothar teamed up with Chris Parks to start Indiana Michigan Concrete. Driving around in a blue Ford F250, they built the business not just on concrete but on genuine care for their customers and community.

After spending some years away — working for another concrete company, starting an urgent care practice in Tennessee, and spending quality time with family — Lothar realized he wasn’t satisfied with how the concrete industry was running. He wanted to do it differently, better.

So, in 2017, Crown Concrete was born in Elkhart, Indiana. For Lothar, concrete isn’t just a job — it’s an art and a way to show love to neighbors, clients, and coworkers. Crown Concrete stands out because we care about quality work and treating people right.

We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Through our Crown Cares division, we provide our concrete services free of charge to support and uplift those in need within our community. We are dedicated to lending a hand for the right reasons, ensuring that our contributions help build a stronger, more united community.
